Kayo is Australia’s first and leading sports streaming app, bringing fans live and on-demand access to the biggest sporting codes all in one place. As the platform grew, it needed a distinctive sonic identity to match the scale, energy, and passion of the sporting experience.

Our Brief

Our brief was to create a sonic logo that captured the excitement of live sport while being versatile enough to work across Kayo’s wide range of content and touchpoints.

Strategy

We set out to distil the essence of sport into sound: fast-paced, dynamic, and emotionally charged. The strategy focused on creating an audio signature that felt instantly recognisable, connected to the brand’s visual identity, and able to heighten anticipation in every interaction.

Creative

The Kayo sonic logo was designed to capture the thrill and intensity of live sport. It blends a deep tonal rumble that builds anticipation with the roar of a stadium crowd to place fans right in the action. A dynamic swoosh drives the energy forward, and the strike of a boxing bell delivers a bold, unmistakable punctuation. Together these elements create a powerful, versatile signature that feels as big and electrifying as the moments Kayo brings to life.

Sonic Logo

Activation

Kayo’s sonic logo now plays across the platform, from in-app experiences and promos to advertising and social content. It signals the start of the action, unifying the brand and ensuring that fans hear the same excitement they see on screen.
